The INSEAD education fund will cover the costs of your MBA program. Therefore, the level of funding depends on the actual tuition plus additional living and travel costs. Of course, smaller amounts can be financed too.

When should I apply for participation in the Generation Contract?

The best time to apply for participation in the gernation contract is after passing the admission exam at the university. But there is no fixed deadline. Consultations can be scheduled at any time. It is sufficient to contact us right when you begin your program.

Can we finalize the contract over the phone?

We can answer most questions over the phone or via email. However, once you're ready to sign your contract, we'd like to meet you in Vallendar - or any other place we can mutually agree on!

Yes, the repayment percentage will increase proportionally according to the increased funding.

Do I have to prove any "need" for participating in the Generation Contract?

No, participation and funding is completely independent of your personal background.

Are financial securities or warranties required?

Yes. Students who are already enrolled can also apply for participation in the Generation Contract.

Is it possible to receive Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG) simultaneously?

Funding by the Generation Contract is not equivalent to income or any kind of assets according to BAföG ("Federal support in education") regulations, and it is not a state-recognized subsidy, therefore obtaining BAföG is not a problem. This information is subject to change.

When does repayment start?

The repayment begins after graduation and successful career entry, provided that the annual gross income exceeds the minimum income of €30000. As soon as the income is below this minimum, no payment has to be made in the corresponding calendar year. This rule applies throughout the lifetime of the contract.

How long is the period of repayment?

Income-dependent repayments last for 10 repayment years. If your income falls below the minimum income, repayments for that year will be postponed. After 20 calendar years, all remaining payments are waived even if fewer than 10 annual repayments have been submitted.

Yes, generally speaking that's possible. These agreements are made individually.

The repayment is linked exclusively to the income of the subsidized student. In case of death, all claims are terminated. Dependants or insurances (life insurance) will not be used to cover open claims.

What happens to my repayment if I have a very high income?

For those who earn a lot, the contractually agreed cap applies. Over the entire repayment period no more than the inflation-adjusted double of the amount received must be paid. In addition, there is also an annual cap.

Repayments are not linked to your occupational status but to your level of income. If your income is below 30.000€ for more than 20 years, no repayments must be made.
